The record

Arbitration decisions

When a borrower misses an instalment, a case opens and lenders decide what happens. Every case is published: the ones that recovered, the one that is still running, and the complaint that was not upheld.

How a case runs

  1. 1. It opens. A second missed instalment opens a case automatically. A lender holding a position can also open one at any time.
  2. 2. Evidence is filed. Lenders, the borrower and the arbitrator can all add exhibits. Nobody can remove one.
  3. 3. A route is proposed. The arbitrator publishes a recommendation with their reasoning, in the case room where everyone can argue with it.
  4. 4. Lenders vote. Fourteen days, weighted by principal, simple majority. Abstentions do not count toward the majority.
  5. 5. It is published. The outcome stays on this page permanently, including where the platform’s own credit assessment turned out to be wrong.
