Rotterdam Micro-Summit 2027: a small BSV conference, done properly
Venue, production and speaker costs for a 350-capacity single-track BSV conference: repaid from ticket and sponsor revenue.
The project
There are two kinds of blockchain conference. One has four thousand people, nine tracks and a sponsor hall you cross to reach a coffee. The other has three hundred and fifty people, one track, and a bar afterwards where everybody is still in the same room. Lowlands BSV runs the second kind, and has for four years.
The Micro-Summit is single-track, two days, capacity 350, in a converted grain warehouse on the Maas. No parallel sessions, no keynote sponsorship, and a rule that every talk has to show something running. Last year it sold out eleven weeks ahead.
The costs land first: the venue deposit in October, production in December, speaker travel in January, for an event in March. This loan bridges that. It is repaid over eight months from ticket sales and the five sponsor slots, three of which have already renewed from 2026.
